Internship in Tenerife

Collect marine data

Record sightings and acoustic data of whales, dolphins, and other marine species during daily expeditions

Assist with research & tours

Support the scientific team and guides onboard while promoting responsible whale watching and public awareness

Participate in navigation

Learn basic sailing and deck operations while helping with guest briefings and onboard logistics

Maintain equipment & vessel

Take part in organizing, cleaning, and caring for both research tools and the boat itself

Communicate science

Develop your outreach skills by explaining marine conservation topics to visitors and fellow interns

By the end of the internship, you’ll gain hands-on experience in marine biology, navigation, and ecotourism. You’ll understand how scientific data is collected at sea, contribute to real whale research, and develop practical skills to pursue a future career in marine science or conservation

Schedule: You’ll typically work 1–2 tours a day, 5 days a week, averaging about 6 hours a day. We try to keep weekends free, but because our work depends on the weather, sea conditions, and bookings, we don’t have a fixed schedule, and things can change.
